Water, how long can I store it for drinking?

For anyone who stocks up on water before heading out or for those who just simply top up the water storage opposed to emptying and replenishing, this is a must read!

After day 1

Water will loose its oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide.

After day 7

Water will become stale and have an acidic taste.

After day 14

Water is now unfit for human consumption

After day 28

Water will now start to develop bacteria and is no longer safe for washing foods or brushing your teeth.

Its one of those things you take for granted but water that isn't fresh can be dangerous! Remember to drain old water, clean containers or use water purification tablets and replenish.
